Never Enough Boutique has set up shop in a new location in the Old Webster Historic District, just blocks from its previous address.
The boutique—which sells an array of women’s clothes and jewelry—boasts a bright interior full of natural light, pops of color, floral wallpaper, and plants galore. Never Enough gained space with the move, giving shoppers more room to peruse the racks.

Never Enough has been a presence in Webster Groves since 2010. In 2017, Olivette resident Lisa Lorenz, 54, purchased the store from the original owner. The new location, says Lorenz, gives her a chance to put her mark on the interior design.
“I absolutely love plants and flowers, so that was the inspiration,” she says. “It’s been fun to create the shop the way I would’ve done it if I’d started it.”

The shop now features walls clad in dark-green wallpaper with bursts of white, pink, and yellow flowers. This colorful, modern touch is carried throughout the store with white furnishings, minimalist-style art prints, and pops of yellow, as seen from the dressing room curtains to the check-out counter.
In addition to the boutique’s new look, Lorenz is excited about the shop’s large display windows, which face Gore Avenue. Never Enough now sits nearer to the heart of Old Webster, making it convenient for customers to reach its bright-yellow front door.

“We’ve had such a great reception up here, being in a more visible and walkable part of Webster,” says Lorenz.
Never Enough Boutique’s move is part of a trend that Lorenz affectionately calls “musical businesses”: the swapping of spaces between Webster Groves small business owners. When Maker’s Market moved its business down the street, leaving 24 N. Gore empty, Lorenz was notified and she moved in soon after. She attributes this space-swapping trend to the neighborhood’s community of business owners, as well as the historic district’s development into a “destination.”
“A lot of people are now coming to Old Webster—it’s a destination to go out for lunch, park your car, and walk around,” says Lorenz. “People are tired of mall shopping.”

Never Enough Boutique’s online shopping site has been down in recent months due to the busyness of the move, but Lorenz hopes to get e-commerce up-and-running by the fall season.
