Mid-century modern furniture has been one of the biggest trends in home décor lately, and now there's another opportunity to add some '50s and '60s flair to your home. Rocket Century, formerly an online-only seller of 20th-century modern furniture, art, and home decor, has now opened a brick-and-mortar store at 3189 South Grand.
The store carries unique pieces by legendary modernist designers such as Paul McCobb, Milo Baughmann, Martin Borenstein and Guido Faleschini as well as other various items in excellent vintage condition.
"The new storefront is a perfect evolution for Rocket Century. Starting out as an online only business in 2010 gave us the flexibility to build our inventory within our budget and market Rocket Century nationally online," said owner Kristina Starr in a press release. "We can now service our local customers and designers in person and still offer services such as shipping and specialty searches for particular items for our clients."
Rocket Century is open on Wednesdays from 4-8 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays from 12-8 p.m., and Sundays from 12-6 p.m. The store is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
