Fans of magazines like Juxtapoz, Hi Fructose, and Blab, and artists like Mark Ryden, Renee French, and Olivia De Berardinis will definitely dig the eye candy at Downtown’s Alexi Era Gallery.

Local artist Aunia Kahn became a gallerist and opened the space late last year. Her roster of illustration-based artists includes talents from all over the globe, and truly, no other gallery in town boasts this sort of edgy, piquant, dark fare on a regular basis. (The style has been variously called “pop surreal” and “new contemporary.”
