Despite its small size, with 7,000 residents, Todos Santos has become a popular travel destination for those wanting a laid-back beach vibe. While you can spend your days relaxing on the beaches, there are also plenty of activities to keep you moving. There are numerous hiking trails in the area, with Punta Lobos being a favorite for its scenic views. If you want to give surfing a try, head to La Katrina Surf Shop, where you can rent a board. Boutique stores sells Mexican handicrafts from local artisans. Depending on when you visit, you can also watch migrating whales (from January through March) or release baby sea turtles (from December through February). And there’s no shortage of yoga classes.

The garden setting creates the perfect dinner ambiance. At Dūm, where the tables are set among palm trees, dinner feels like dining in the middle of a jungle. French chef Aurélien Legeay creates a seasonal menu that changes weekly, and the restaurant has an extensive wine list and five-course tasting menu based on what’s in season. La Confianza, a popular natural wine and coffee bar, opened its doors in March 2023. Much of the wine served at La Confianza is produced by women in Baja California.
