For years, a certain sect of St. Louis has been hoping for a Real Housewives of St. Louis reality TV show, an extension of the franchise started by STL native Andy Cohen, a Bravo producer. A newly announced reality show, this one from MTV, might be as close as we'll get.
MTV has announced a 10-episode reality show, The Busch Family Brewed, which will follow William K. “Billy” Busch, his wife, and their seven children, descendants of the founder of Anheuser-Busch beer.
In a trailer released Thursday, Busch, seated next to his wife, introduces the pair. "I'm Billy Busch, and this is my wife, Christi," he starts.
"I can introduce myself," Christi replies.
"OK," Billy says, smiling.
The trailer then cuts to footage of Clydesdales pulling a carriage on the Busches' idyllic 700-acre property...and more footage of the family having fun. One son removes his shirt and pours beer all over his chest; another does the worm at a bar. In a nod to the family's wealth, Billy and Christi throw a pile of money off the balcony of their home. "Mom dancing on the bar is just another day," one of the Busch daughters remarks after footage of Christi, well, doing just that.
The Busch family children include Billy Jr., Haley, Abbey, Gussie, Grace, Maddie, and Peter. They range in age from 28 to 13.
Deadline reports that the Busches were recently approved to break ground on a new craft brewery on their estate, sure to be a plot line in the series.
The show airs at 8 p.m. March 5 on MTV.
