From Sugar & Slice Bakery in St. Charles creating specialized cookies to Chasin Crowns’ commissioned skateboard design, St. Louis was primed for Lil Wayne’s sold-out Welcome To Tha Carter Tour at The Factory Wednesday night.
The packed crowd was chill while waiting for Weezy to take the stage, but as soon as he landed, opening with “Mr. Carter,” the energy shifted to a fervent, joyful mass that moved as one. With their hands up, the crowd vibed to the music and recorded their moment experiencing what many have said is one of the greatest rappers of all time.

Those expecting greatness were not disappointed. Amid the plumes of smoke, strobes, and laser lights, Lil Wayne was all smiles, taking the crowd on a ride through his hits. He ended the night with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” piped in as he addressed the audience. “If you don’t remember sh*t about tonight,” said the rapper, “please remember I ain’t sh*t without you.”
