Trader Bob’s Flash Revival | August 28 & 29

Party Like it’s 1926 | August 28

The 21c Hotel has occupied the historic space at 1528 Locust for three years, but the building itself is a century old, so the hotel is throwing a party! CannaCon | August 28 & 29

Steel Wheels and United Freights of America| August 28–September 20

Opaque Collective burst onto the scene this past spring with the delightfully cheeky Route 69. Now, it’s back with a pair of exhibitions dedicated to one of the graffiti world’s most enduring canvasses: the freight train. Steel Wheels in the collective’s gallery space and United Freights of America in the shop space will together “trace the living histories of more than 350 graffiti writers and the vehicle that connects them.” Opaque Collective, 7401 S. Moonlight Ramble | August 29

During the full moon, thousands of neighbors take to the streets of St. Louis on two wheels. The Midnight Ramble is a nighttime bicycle tour and street festival that highlights a unique view of the city. The festival starts at 7 p.m. with the ride getting underway at 11 p.m. Carondelet Park. $40, $60 for day-of registration.

Race for the Rivers | August 29

Cheer for racers in kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards at the 20^th annual Race for the Rivers, a fundraiser for Greenway Network. Finishers are expected at Blanchette Landing in St. Charles between noon at 4 p.m., and there are spots along the route to watch the action. See website for details.

Lionel Richie | August 29

St. Louis Margarita Festival | August 29

Sample and score creative margaritas from St. Louis bars and restaurants at this spirited tasting festival, where attendees help crown the city’s best margarita. Jakob Dylan’s kind-of familiar gravelly voice has been part of the sonic landscape for three decades.
