Grab your last-minute gifts at one of these local holiday markets

Shop handcrafted goods, unique art, and small-batch treats from dozens of makers and artisans this weekend.

Time for holiday shopping is rapidly ticking down, and with shipping delays and those dreaded supply chain issues, the window for getting thoughtful presents delivered is closing fast. Luckily, there’s still time to find local artists and artisans selling their wares at several holiday markets around the region. Stop in to visit the vendors at one of these events to gather your last few gifts while also supporting your community’s makers.

The final day for this annual holiday bazaar is December 18, so be sure to get out early to grab products from your favorite vendors. Whether you need small-batch jams for nana, handcrafted leather goods for dad, or a pair of earrings for your partner that no one else will be wearing, there’s a local maker on hand who can help you out.

Frosted Holiday Market

Turn your Christmas shopping into a whole day of entertainment at Frosted, which will transform Tower Grove Park’s Piper Palm House this weekend. The pop-up cocktail experience will host a holiday market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 19, where visitors can stroll through stalls such as Zingara Gems Jewelry, African Arts, and Green Rock Sewing while they sip.

Winter Market at Gateway Convention Center

More than 90 vendors will take over Collinsville’s Gateway Convention Center December 18 and 19 for this winter market that will also include boozy hot chocolate, arts and crafts activities for kids, and visitors from the North Pole. 

HandleBar Last Minute Market

If you can’t make the earlier markets (or like spend your Saturdays sleeping in) The Last Minute Market at HandleBar on December 18 is your chance to spend an evening perusing products such as jewelry, art prints, vintage clothing, and other wares. Come for the shopping, then stay for drinks and dancing at this welcoming spot in the Grove.

The Sliced Pint Crafted Christmas Market

Head to The Sliced Pint from 5-9 p.m. December 17 or from noon to 4 p.m. December 18 to browse the work of several talented crafters, including work from Karie’s Arts n Crafts, Isis Creations, and Kwamboka. Pro tip: Make sure to RSVP online for 10 percent off your dinner or lunch on the day of your visit.
