Lifeguarding was Tracy Hart’s first job. It gave her an understanding of three key lessons: always wear sunscreen, hustling matters, and hard work pays off. With Tarlton, Hart is proud to be able to service a diverse array of work types, including construction, preconstruction, green building, and advanced technology applications. On weekends, you’ll find the California native soaking up the great outdoors. Hart enjoys biking, running, swimming, paddleboarding, and practicing yoga.

Do you have a business mentor? If so, who and why? Over the years, I have been blessed with many mentors. I learn well from the successes and challenges of others.

What piece of advice has had the most significant impact on your career? Be yourself and do your best.

If you could have dinner with any two area business leaders, who would you choose and why? Only two??? St. Louis is blessed with so many great business leaders that each have their own special gift.

What is one thing you would change about the St. Louis metro area business environment and why? Merging of county and city to streamline our ability to attract and retain businesses.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

If you were not in your current profession, what would you be doing and why? Helping other businesses grow

What is your favorite St. Louis-area restaurant, and what do you typically order there? Love the house salad at Katie’s Pizza, it is close by, there are several fantastic restaurants!

What is one item you recently crossed off your bucket list? Travel to Alaska.

What is one book you think everyone should read (or podcast everyone should listen to) and why? Good to Great by Jim Collins, podcast with Jim Collins and Brene Brown.

What’s your hobby/passion? Outside sports such as biking, running, swimming, yoga, paddleboard, etc.

What is your most prized possession? What I cherish most are the people I love.

What would people be surprised to learn about you—a fun fact? I was captain of the Mudbowl team in college

What is your go-to karaoke song? Haha! Don’t have one, but right now “Gloria” comes to mind.
