As the cost of new vehicles grows, affordability is a key concern for families looking to buy on a budget. On the surface, a luxury car dealership like Dave Sinclair Lincoln seems completely removed from the affordability conversation.
Digging a little deeper, however, uncovers Dave Sinclair Lincoln as a longstanding, family-owned business that has had customers returning for more than 60 years. Like any dealership, it wants to sell luxury cars. But overall, it’s a business that wants to form loyal relationships with its customers, ensuring they are getting the most attentive service possible.

Megan Sinclair Rosso, principal dealer at Dave Sinclair Lincoln, understands this wholeheartedly. “We want you in a car that you enjoy driving, that you can afford to drive, and you can afford to pay off, so you’ll come back and get your next one from us,” Sinclair Rosso says.
As a company leader and mom of three, budgeting is a reality that Sinclair Rosso understands firsthand. While she loves driving her Lincoln Navigator, she knows that investing in a luxury vehicle can sometimes be a long shot—but a worthwhile one.
Sinclair Rosso shared insights about the value of investing in a luxury car and how Dave Sinclair Lincoln can make that investment accessible across a range of budgets.

When families walk in wanting a luxury vehicle but are worried about affordability, how do you help them make it work?
For families drawn to a luxury vehicle but hesitant about the price tag, Sinclair Rosso starts by reframing what “affordable” can look like. Rather than focusing on fully loaded models, she walks customers through a more intentional approach—one that prioritizes what matters most and trims what doesn’t. That often begins with custom ordering.
“If you want to buy a luxury vehicle, but affordability is an issue, we’ll look into custom ordering your vehicle,” says Sinclair Rosso. “It takes longer, but if you’re willing to wait, you’re not paying for things you don’t need.”
From there, the conversation shifts to long-term value. Instead of adding extra features, Sinclair Rosso encourages families to put that portion of their budget toward warranty coverage, a decision that can prevent unexpected expenses down the road. “If that means getting a little bit less on the car side so that you can afford a warranty with today’s market, that’s the way you want to go,” she says.
And for families who still need a lower entry point, certified pre-owned vehicles offer another path into the luxury market without the new-car price. “We sell more than just luxury cars,” Sinclair Rosso says. “We have certified pre-owns that are a great fit for people, too.”
Together, those options—thoughtful customization, prioritizing protection and exploring pre-owned inventory—give families multiple ways to make a luxury vehicle feel within reach.

How does being a mom shape the way you talk about budget with customers?
In true Mama Bear fashion, Sinclair Rosso thinks about protecting her family from long-term accidents that might arise from vehicle faults. This is where the importance of warranties comes into play. “That means if something breaks a year from now, you aren’t out $3,000 or $4,000,” she says. “You’re not in an emergency situation, trying to come up with that money. You don’t need to have a special savings account for your car because it’s already taken care of.”
When families think about warranties as a future protective measure, the decision to budget for one becomes much clearer. “We can make your budget work so that you can afford a warranty too, which is what you should try to do when walking in,” says Sinclair Rosso.
Custom ordering sounds expensive. How can it save me money in the long run?
Some vehicles are equipped with more features than necessary for a car meant for family road trips and after-school pick-ups. “You’re not going to pay $3,000 for dynamic handling on an Aviator when you don’t need dynamic handling,” she says.
Removing less essential features knocks down the price while still retaining the valuable aspects of a family car. Key features to prioritize for families are smart space solutions such as split lift gates and foldable third-row seating, along with the special Rejuvenation Mode, which gives moms a relaxing break after the kids leave the car. “It’s your emergency relaxation. It takes you through a meditation, and the screens all change to forests, and it’s great,” says Sinclair Rosso. “I do them all the time, and I love them.”
I need something reliable for my family but can’t afford brand-new luxury. What other options are available to me?
Dave Sinclair Lincoln is a luxury car dealership, but the dealership sells far more than just Lincolns. “We have pre-owned vehicles that are great fits,” says Sinclair Rosso.
While Lincoln CPOs are valued for their premium quality and factory-supported coverage, there are other makes of non-certified vehicles, from Ford to Nissan. No matter the make of your car, Sinclair Rosso stresses protective warranties above all. “There are other options. Just make sure that you’re covered long-term, whatever it may be, and protect yourself,” she says.

What’s your best advice for family members buying a car right now?
With her own family so embedded in her brand, Sinclair Rosso approaches customers in a helpful yet practical manner. “We’ve got lots of options,” Sinclair Rosso says. “So we want to talk to you about what you’re driving now and what your budget is now.” “You have to know how much you want to spend on a monthly basis and how long you want to finance. And we’ll be glad to help you figure those out.”
As a family-owned business with 60 years of experience, Dave Sinclair Lincoln values loyalty and reliability in everyday customer operations to the formalized “Sinclair Promise.”
“We’ve been in business for 60 years because we take care of our customers,” says Sinclair Rosso. “That’s the whole point of the whole thing. We make relationships. So we truly want to know what you’re looking for.”
