As Missouri’s capital city, Jefferson City blends small-town charm with rich history and scenic beauty. Along the banks of the Missouri River, it’s home to striking landmarks such as the domed Missouri State Capitol, the Governor’s Mansion, and the award-winning Missouri State Museum. Visitors can stroll through the historic downtown district, explore vibrant murals, bike the Katy Trail, or attend beloved annual events such as the JCMO Art Around Town.
For this summer, the Jefferson City Convention & Visitors Bureau, the destination marketing organization for Missouri’s capital city, highlights five standout events and attractions that capture the spirit of the season.

“Whether it’s historic tours and museums, gorgeous parks and the Katy Trail, or delicious cuisine and quaint boutiques, we promote all there is to explore in JCMO, a gem nestled in the heart of Missouri,” says Brianna Murphy, communications and film manager of Jefferson City Convention & Visitors Bureau.
