Could your fall shopping help build what comes next for Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital?

The 2026 Glennon Card turns 10 days of shopping and dining across St. Louis into support for children, families, and the future of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

A shopping trip usually ends with something to bring home. This October, one small purchase could send part of its impact somewhere shoppers may never see.

The Glennon Card returns October 16–25, offering 20 percent off at more than 340 participating businesses, including local shops, restaurants, services, and attractions. The 10-day program gives shoppers a reason to revisit local favorites, try businesses they may have never visited, and put their spending toward a cause that’s directly connected to St. Louis families.

Every Glennon Card purchase supports SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, with this year bringing a special connection to the hospital’s history. In honor of its 70th anniversary, the 2026 card costs $70. Proceeds will benefit The Devoted Fund for a new Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, helping provide therapeutic play, education, procedure, and sibling support, along with other services for patients and families.

Behind a discounted dinner, new outfit, or gift crossed off the list is a much bigger story about what St. Louis can make possible when shopping local also means giving local.

Where can the Glennon Card take you?

With hundreds of participating businesses, a Glennon Card can cover much more than one shopping trip. Cardholders can use it as often as they like during the 10-day program, making it possible to save across shopping, dining, services, and entertainment.

A few places on the 2026 list include:

  • Alpine Shop for outdoor gear and apparel
  • The Art of Entertaining for prepared meals and entertaining
  • Bartolino’s and Favazza’s on The Hill for dining out
  • Genovese Jewelers for jewelry
  • Imagination Toys for kids and gifts
  • Laurie’s Shoes for footwear
  • Mister Guy for clothing
  • Paperdolls Boutique for women’s fashion
  • Three French Hens for home furnishings and décor
  • Ylang Ylang Fine Designer Jewelry for fine jewelry

More than 100 participating businesses also accept the Glennon Card online, giving shoppers another way to use their 20 percent savings during the program.

Glennon Card program coordinator Karen Page has seen regular cardholders develop their own strategy. She calls it “cluster shopping,” with shoppers choosing an area such as Kirkwood and visiting several participating businesses nearby.

“The card introduces people to businesses they may have never tried before,” Page says. “Someone may come in because of the discount and discover a new restaurant or shop that they want to visit again.”

Dining could fill several days on its own, with 69 restaurants participating this year. “We joke that nobody should have to cook for 10 days,” Page says. “There are places for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even snacks.”

Behind the card are families

A 20 percent discount gives shoppers a reason to buy the card, but Emily Cullman knows where its impact can ultimately lead.

Emily Cullman, a flight respiratory therapist at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, experienced the hospital from a new perspective when her daughter, Clara, became a patient before she was born.

Cullman works as a flight respiratory therapist on Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital’s transport team. Her connection to the hospital changed when her daughter, Clara Cullman, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis before birth.

Following the diagnosis, Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital brought together specialists across maternal fetal medicine, pulmonology, surgery, and the NICU to prepare the Cullman family for several possibilities. Cullman was also offered an opportunity to take Trikafta during pregnancy, making Clara one of the first babies in the country to receive CF treatment before birth, according to Cullman.

“They were willing to consider something new and give Clara an opportunity we did not know we would have,” Cullman says. “We went into every possibility with a plan, and we knew who would be there if we needed them.”

Clara was born healthy and avoided both NICU care and surgery. The Cullmans still visit the Fetal Care Institute team when Clara returns to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital for appointments.

“I knew Cardinal Glennon as an employee, but experiencing it as a parent showed me another side of the hospital,” Cullman says. “The team became family to us, and they are still part of Clara’s story.”

Her experience also changed how she views programs such as the Glennon Card. “When someone buys a Glennon Card, they may be thinking about where they can use it or what they can save,” Cullman says. “As a parent, I see the resources, people, and care families receive because our community chooses to support this hospital.”

Ten shopping days, nearly a year in the making

While shoppers have 10 days to use the card, Page and the Glennon Guild spend most of the year preparing for them.

Page first became involved after purchasing the card herself for several years. Impressed by the program, she contacted the Glennon Guild in 2018 and asked how she could help. Today, she works alongside a volunteer team handling contracts, marketing, retailer relationships, and program coordination.

“People see a 10-day shopping event, but behind it is nearly 11 months of planning,” Page says.

Approximately 60 of the Glennon Guild’s 115 members help with the program, working alongside Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation employees. Their work has helped the Glennon Card raise approximately $3.2 million since 2011, according to Page.

“Local businesses understand what the Glennon Card supports, and many come back year after year because they want to be part of it,” Page says. “Shopping local can support local children at the same time.”

A $70 card with a much bigger story

This year, Page has a visible reminder of where some of the excitement surrounding Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital is headed. She can see construction progressing on the new hospital.

“You can drive by and see the building rising and the cranes in the sky,” Page says. “There is a different excitement this year because people can actually see what is coming.”

From October 16–25, St. Louisans can use the card at restaurants, shops, and businesses across the region, turning the appeal of 20 percent savings into support for children and families whose lives intersect with Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

Either way, a $70 card connects those purchases to something much larger. Seventy years after Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital began caring for children, St. Louis shoppers have an opportunity to help support what comes next for families such as the Cullmans.
