With good ol’ rock ’n’ roll playing at a reasonable volume and a clean and perky dining area, Miller’s Crossing in Chesterfield doubles as a family friendly restaurant (though smoke from the small bar can be annoying) and a place for a decent night out without the kids. No kids? Try pork tenderloin medallions drizzled with Dijon cream ($13) or herb-grilled Atlantic salmon with balsamic honey glaze ($15). Kids in tow? Go for the tavern burger ($6), the smokehouse chicken sandwich ($8) or the French dip with provel cheese ($9). Either way, try Miller’s Irish stew for a starter or a meal (cup $3.75, bowl $4.75). The stew comes chock full of peas, carrots, green beans, potatoes and tender beef, thick and full with just a hint of pepper. Delicious.
