Thirteenth And Washington Fashion/Beauty Co-Op Opens in Downtown Saint Louis

The Washington Avenue loft district is about to get a little bit more fashionable. June marks the opening of the new Thirteenth + Washington complex across from the Lucas Park Grille. The building, owned and operated by St. Louis-based stylist Kristen Linares, is geared toward “creative beauty and fashion professionals.” Linares says she started thinking about opening the space when she noticed a lack of professional, inspiring places in St. Louis for people in the fashion industry to set up shop.

Once fully functional, the space will boast several boutiques, salons, office spaces, studios, and a locally stocked bar. Linares says she hopes Thirteenth + Washington will become St. Louis’ home for beauty, fashion, and wellness, catering to both local rising stars and visiting celebrities. She says, though, that the space will not only be for the elite—walk-ins are welcome to schedule hair appointments and peruse the boutiques.
