Baton Rouge, Louisiana has the least expensive beer at $7.41. It’s followed by Oklahoma City, ($7.48), Omaha, ($7.62), Buffalo, New York ($7.70), and St. Louis. (Personally, I think St. Louis is the best place to live among the cheap beer cities, considering population, climate, and location.)

Chicagoland has the two highest beer prices in America. The city and neighboring Aurora, Illinois have the most expensive beer, at an average of $13.32 per six pack. That’s more than $3 more per six pack than New York, which comes in third, at $10.28. Anchorage, Alaska ranks fourth at $10.28. Pittsburgh is fifth, at $9.95.

WalletHub compiled data from the Council for Community and Economic Research to rank a region’s beer prices and determined that where you live can mean a difference of more than 90 percent in what you pay for a brew.

According to pintprice.com, Americans pay an average of $3.77 per pint. While that’s not the highest price in the world, it’s nowhere near the cheapest, based on a study by cost-of-living website numbeo.com. Vietnam has an average price per pint of 76 cents. It’s followed by Cambodia (88 cents), the Philippines and Ukraine (89 cents), and Ethiopia (93 cents.)

St. Louis also does well in rankings of beer costs at major sporting events. Team Marketing Report—which analyzes beer and food prices for NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA franchises— concluded that the Rams have the cheapest beer in the NFL. Based on the smallest beer available at a concession stand, the $4.50 price is the league’s lowest. The Oakland Raiders are the most expensive, at $10.75, followed by the San Francisco 49ers, at $10.25.

The St. Louis Cardinals rank 12th in MLB with a small-beer price of $6.75. MLB’s highest beer prices are in Miami ($8), as well as Boston and Philadelphia ($7.75.)

The Blues reportedly serve some of the most expensive beer in the NHL, based on the smallest available beer at the Scottrade Center. At $9 for a 20-ounce beer, the team ranks fifth, trailing only the New York Rangers ($10.50), New York Islanders ($9.75), Arizona Coyotes ($9.50), and Minnesota Wild ($9.50.)
