SSM Health New Outpatient Center in O’Fallon, Missouri

Tarlton Corp. recently broke ground on a 66,000-square-foot ambulatory center, slated to open in 2024. The 7.5 acres available for future development will help meet “the future needs of the community,” says Jeremy Fotheringham, SSM Health’s St. Louis regional president.

Siteman Cancer Center’s Outpatient Facility

Siteman Cancer Center is planning a nine-story facility dedicated to outpatient cancer care. It’s scheduled to open in summer 2024 on the Washington University medical campus.

Siteman Cancer Center: Proton Therapy Treatment

Siteman Cancer Center is expanding proton therapy with the latest technology, including a second Mevion Proton Therapy System with HYPERSCAN pencil beam scanning technology and Adaptive Aperture pMLC, which allows health care providers to aim a proton beam directly at a tumor.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South

Mercy and Lifepoint Rehabilitation recently opened a two-story, 50-bed acute rehabilitation hospital to provide care for patients with neurological diseases, injury to the brain or spinal cord, and more. The new, $37 million facility is located on Mercy Hospital South’s campus.

Washington University School of Medicine Neuroscience Research Building

Slated to open in July of this year, the 11-story, 609,000-square-foot project will serve as a state-of-the-art research hub, bringing together more than 100 research teams.

Mercy’s Specialized IBD Center

Mercy’s first disease-specific clinic, Mercy Clinic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) and Gastroenterology Center, in Kirkwood, includes a team of gastroenterologists, surgeons, nurse practitioners, social workers, psychotherapists, dietitians, and other health care workers.

Mercy Ballas Multispeciality Building

This new five-level building will be one of the largest outpatient surgery centers in the nation. Slated for completion later this year, it will offer an array of patient-focused services, such as dynamic scheduling, a single point of care, and virtual visits.

Mercy St. Louis’ Second Ronald McDonald Family Room

Located in the Emerson Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Mercy Children’s Hospital St. Louis, the room includes a washer and dryer, a full bathroom, a private room with recliners, a living room, a full kitchen, and refreshments. “This will make a world of difference to families, many of whom are here for long stays with their babies,” says Amy McLean, Mercy Kids NICU family support nurse manager.

Saint Louis University Institute for Translational Neuroscience

SLU is launching the Institute for Translational Neuro-science, which will gather experts in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacology, social justice, and community outreach to study the physiology and diseases of the brain and central nervous system.

BJC Outpatient Center

BJC HealthCare is constructing a 14,000-square-foot outpatient care facility in Godfrey, Illinois. Alton Memorial Convenient Care will be relocated to this new location.
