Two small businesses are collaborating to deliver holiday spirit directly to metro area mailboxes this holiday season—and in the process, giving kids memories that will last a lifetime.
Local design boutiques Artfully Overjoyed and Courtney Ethridge Lettering & Design recently announced the return of their seasonal service—crafting custom letters from Kris Kringle himself.

“The Santa letters started as a way to create a meaningful holiday tradition that families could look forward to each year,” says Courtney Ethridge, the creative force behind Courtney Ethridge Lettering & Design. “We both have always loved a sentimental keepsake, and teaming up each year to create something new makes the holidays even sweeter. As a calligrapher and stationer, who better to help Santa spread the magic with beautifully crafted, one-of-a-kind letters that families can cherish forever?”
Ethridge, alongside Addie Morgester of Artfully Overjoyed, started offering their Santa letters in 2022.
“These Santa letters are a special offering because they go beyond just holiday wishes—they’re personalized keepsakes that capture each child’s unique story, crafted with beautiful calligraphy and custom-designed stationery,” Ethridge says. “With every letter, kids feel a personal connection to Santa, and families get a heartfelt memento to look back on year after year. It’s a way to bring magic, warmth and wonder to the season, creating memories that last long after the holidays are over.”
When placing an order, for $20, clients provide details like their child’s name, age, notable achievements, and any areas for growth.

“We love creating these letters because they let us keep the spirit of Christmas alive and share in kids’ excitement for the season,” says Morgester, who creates a new stationery design for the Santa letters each year. “It’s so heartwarming to celebrate their unique accomplishments and see what today’s kids are passionate about — it’s like getting a little peek into their magical world!”
Santa letters, which are available for order until December 13, include a personalized handwritten note from Santa and an official “nice list” certificate. Each letter is placed in a holiday-themed envelope adorned by custom calligraphy, stamps, and envelope liners. The letters are then shipped in a rigid mailer, allowing parents to preview the mementos before passing them along to their littles at just the right time.
“Letters from Santa are a magical holiday tradition that makes kids feel truly special and seen,” Ethridge says. “This keeps the wonder of Santa alive, especially for kids on the verge of questioning, while also encouraging kindness and celebrating their growth. These letters aren’t just holiday greetings—they’re heartfelt memories that bring families together and capture the true spirit of Christmas.”
