How Preggo Perks is helping St. Louis moms build the village they need

Founded by two local parents, Preggo Perks connects expecting and new moms with affordable, vetted services, from house cleaning to postpartum support.

When Sarah and Collin Walsh were preparing to welcome their second child, they found themselves stretched thin. They were juggling full-time jobs, a toddler, household responsibilities, and the unspoken pressure to keep everything running smoothly. Without nearby family or a built-in support system, the St. Louis couple came to a realization that many parents share but rarely say out loud: Motherhood is not meant to be managed alone.

“We just felt like we were drowning trying to do everything at once,” Sarah says. “And we knew we couldn’t be the only parents feeling that way.”

That realization became Preggo Perks, a membership-based platform that connects moms with vetted local businesses offering practical, everyday support. Services range from meal prep and laundry to wellness care and postpartum support, all designed to lighten the load during one of life’s most demanding seasons. With plans starting at $15 a month and average savings of about $55 per service, the model prioritizes both affordability and consistency.

“We wanted something that actually felt accessible,” Collin says. “If support is part of the mission, it has to be affordable enough for moms to use regularly.”

Rooted in Sarah’s background in maternal mental health and Collin’s experience in community building, Preggo Perks is built on a simple idea: When moms have access to support, families are healthier, more stable, and better equipped to thrive.

Turning a gap into a solution

The idea for Preggo Perks took shape during a period of exhaustion and constraint. As new parents early in their careers, Sarah and Collin needed help but found that many services felt financially out of reach. They also knew they were not alone in that experience. Their solution was to create a centralized, easy-to-use platform where moms could access trusted services at a lower cost.

Members receive exclusive discounts through a growing network of local partners, which now includes more than 80 businesses across the St. Louis metro area, from prepared meal companies such as Fit Flavors, Benefit Meals, and Project Lean Nation to services like Fluffrush Laundry, Maid 4 Cleaning, and The Cleaning Authority, as well as wellness providers such as Bloom Mind + Body Co., Little Bee Well Chiropractic, and Optimize Therapy.

Rather than focusing on one type of service, Preggo Perks emphasizes flexibility. What one family needs most may be different from another, whether that is prepared meals, house cleaning, laundry, or wellness care. The goal is to provide mothers with options and remove the burden of searching for reliable support.

Building a modern village

While the platform offers practical help, the founders see community as equally essential. Preggo Perks is not only about connecting moms to services but also about helping them feel less isolated. “Not every mom has a village, but every mom deserves one,” Sarah says.

To that end, Sarah and Collin are working to expand their presence beyond the website by attending and hosting local events where moms can meet, share experiences, and build relationships. The long-term vision includes a network that supports both day-to-day needs and meaningful human connection.

They also prioritize partnerships with businesses that align with their mission. Each partner is selected for quality, reliability, and a shared commitment to supporting families. The hope is that moms can find go-to providers they trust and return to throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

What comes next

In the near term, the focus remains on growing within St. Louis. That includes expanding the partner network, reaching more neighborhoods, and continuing to refine the platform based on feedback from local families.

Looking ahead, the duo plans to bring Preggo Perks to other cities. The model is designed to scale while maintaining its core purpose: making support accessible and easy to navigate for moms wherever they live.

More broadly, they hope to shift the conversation around motherhood. Such services as meal delivery, house cleaning, and postpartum care are often treated as luxuries, but the founders see them as essential tools that can reduce stress and improve outcomes for both moms and babies.

“We want to normalize asking for help,” Sarah says, “and reinforce the idea that no parent should have to navigate early parenthood alone.”
