Stop by one of the eight Clementine’s locations for a swanky take on the theme, including giveaways from Tiffany & Co. and free pancake art by Dancakes at the Central West End, Edwardsville, and Southampton locations. The first 25 families at each location get a limited-edition coffee mug, and special new flavors such as Caramel Crème Cereal, Croissant Crunch and a Cold Brew Float will be on offer. Saturday, 9 a.m.–noon. See website for locations.
If one day’s not enough (and it isn’t), then head for The Fountain on Locust on Saturday and Sunday for “cereal themed creations,” including cereal-based sundaes (Fruit Loops, Cinnamon Toast Crunch), a cereal milkshake (Reese’s Puffs), ice cream cocktails and mocktails (Fruit Loops ice cream martini or a “cereal & milk” sundae in a glass). For all the specials, click here. In addition, guests who arrive in pajamas will receive a free World’s Smallest Sundae with their order as a playful thank-you for embracing the spirit of the holiday. 5242 Delmar. Open at 11 a.m. both days.
Back by popular demand, the Midtown ice cream shop and more will feature last year’s fan-favorites on both Saturday and Sunday: ice cream waffles (two warm waffles topped with a scoop of ice cream and choice of sauce) and coffee and ice cream lattes (available all day). In addition, guests who arrive in pajamas will receive a free World’s Smallest Sundae with their order as a playful thank-you for embracing the spirit of the holiday. 3037 Locust. Open at 11 a.m. both days.
Half Pint at the Annex in Webster Groves’ Old Orchard neighborhood is always open early. While there are no giveaways or breakfast specials, the old-fashioned candy and ice-cream shop featuring locally made Ronnie’s Ice Cream would be happy to dish you up a sundae instead of an acai bowl on Saturday morning. 8124 Big Bend. Opens at 7 a.m.
Liquid nitrogen makes some things worse and many things—ice cream, in particular—much better. Ices Plain & Fancy has a whole custom menu planned for Saturday, including the Donut Drive-In long John Sandwich and Maple Butter French Toast, among others. The store will open early for the special day, at 9 a.m., but no promises that the specials won’t be sold out before it closes at 10 p.m. 2256 39th.
Enjoy several special offerings, including Blueberry Johnny Cakes, a new, limited-edition flavor made cornbread pancakes, blueberry-maple jam, and buttery sweet cream. The L’Affogato Special features Salty Caramel ice cream topped with Slingshot cold brew. The Breakfast Pairings Menu includes Balanced Breakfast (Blueberry Johnny Cakes, coffee with cream and sugar, and Darkest Chocolate ice cream in a buttercrisp waffle bowl) and Parfait on the Beach (Green Smoothie ice cream, mango sauce, Michele’s granola butter, and whipped cream). Scoop shops across St. Louis open at 9 a.m. AM on 2/1.
Waffle sundaes; Federhofer’s donuts ice cream sandwiches; cinnamon french toast ice cream; and mugs filled with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate await the early-rising, PJ-clad masses at Serendipity in The Grove. See complete menu here. The store will open early, at 8 a.m. Free mugs are available while supplies last—and only if you’re in actual pajamas. 4400 Manchester.
