Jordaryl “Jordy” Logan is doubling down on the Washington Avenue neighborhood with Troit, a new concept at Wash Ave Food Hall (1122 Washington), slated to open this fall. Logan also owns the The Moniker (1000 Washington, Ste. B), an upscale upscale cocktail lounge and restaurant nearby. At Troit, he’ll draw on his hometown roots with a menu of Detroit-style pizza, Coney dogs, corned beef sandwiches, Faygo soda, and other hometown favorites. Here’s what we know so far.
The Concept & Owner

For Logan, a Detroit native, Troit is a personal project inspired by the foods that he grew up eating. He sees the project as something designed to represent more than Detroit’s best-known contribution to the pizza world.
“This is about bringing Detroit-style fare to St. Louis and doing it in a way that feels authentic,” Logan said in a release. “Wash Ave is happening right now, and the Food Hall gives us the opportunity to create something really fun and be part of everything that is building downtown.”
Logan says interest from Detroit transplants has spurred him on, with many asking whether Troit would serve the corned beef and other hometown staples they remember. “We want somebody from Detroit to walk in and immediately recognize what we’re doing, while also giving St. Louis something it hasn’t really had before,” he says.
Newly named Wash Ave Food Hall general manager Zachary Johnson says Logan’s enthusiasm for the concept is exactly what the owners hope vendors will bring to the space: namely, food with a story behind it and an opportunity for guests to try something unfamiliar while learning its origins.
Troit joins previously announced food hall tenants Steve’s Smash, Little BAO, Maci’s Prime BBQ, and 4 Hands Brewing Co., which will operate an interactive PourMyBeer Wall.
The larger complex will also include the separately announced Wash Ave Social, an indoor-lawn and gaming component.
Another food vendor, featuring a popular internationally inspired cuisine, is expected to be announced in late September.
The Food
Detroit-style pizza—known for its thick, crisp-edged crust and cheese baked all the way to the edges of the special steel pan—will anchor Troit’s menu, but it won’t be the only Motor City specialty.
Logan plans to serve Coney dogs and corned beef, along with corned beef egg rolls and rotating specialties. The Detroit theme will extend to familiar Michigan brands, including Faygo soda and Better Made chips.
Rather than simply transplanting one signature dish, Logan says the goal is to capture the broader neighborhood food culture that he remembers from Detroit. “I’m especially excited to bring Coney dogs and our corned beef here, along with Detroit-style pizza and some of the other foods that are such a big part of Detroit,” he says.
For Logan, it’s a chance to serve St. Louis a taste of home.
