Tony and Jessica Nguyen to host collaborative pop-ups prior to opening snō in Tower Grove South next month

Chefs from Nudo House and Elaia will team up with the forthcoming restaurant’s acclaimed chefs/owners for a series of dishes and events.

Much-anticipated modern Asian restaurant snō is slated to open in Tower Grove South next month. As a preview, owners-chefs Tony and Jessica Nguyen are planning a series of collaborative pop-ups and meet-and-greets.

The first event will be held July 31 at Nudo House, which is owned by Tony’s childhood friend Qui Tran. The group is teaming up to create duck ramen, a dish that Nguyen prepared on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay. The dish will be available throughout the day. Reservations are not required for this event.

Then, on August 1, the Nguyens will collaborate with chef Ben Poremba at Elaia for a six-course dinner. Tickets will be $125 and must be purchased in advance. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with these restaurateurs, who have made such a positive impact on our city’s culinary scene,” Tony said in a press release. “At these collaboration pop-ups and dinners, guests will pick up on our approach to modern Asian cuisine.”

snō is slated to open in the two-floor space that was previously occupied by VP Square in Tower Grove. The restaurant will offer a modern take on dim sum, prime beef, local produce, and sustainable seafood, which complements Jessica’s background as a marine biologist and chef.

snō will mark the duo’s first restaurant in Tony’s hometown. Previously, the two were based in Los Angeles, where Tony served as an executive chef at Crustacean in Beverly Hills. Tony has been featured in such publications as Food & Wine, Forbes, Eater, and the Los Angeles Times, in addition to appearing on Food Network and Bravo. Jessica’s culinary experiences include working at Michelin star–rated restaurants; running catering company Fancy Toast; and serving as a private chef for such celebrity clients as Nicki Minaj, the Kardashians, and DJ Khaled.
