Le Méridien St. Louis Clayton (7730 Bonhomme) is collaborating with the Saint Louis Art Museum to bring guests a special themed experience.
Beginning today, Clayton’s newest hotel is offering free access to SLAM’s special exhibitions for hotel guests. To celebrate the next major exhibition, Nubia: Treasures of Ancient Africa, opening April 18, the hotel’s restaurant, Café la Vie, will host a pre-opening dinner inspired by the exhibit, which runs through August.

On April 15 and 16, executive chef Michael Frank will offer a special menu and themed cocktail, inspired by the Nubian heritage and culture. The three-course menu includes a choice of hummus or chicken kofta; roasted branzino with chickpea and lentil stew or grilled lamb loin with avjar and asparagus tabbouleh; and lemon poppyseed cake or halvah trifle for dessert.
“I looked to the exhibition for inspiration and wanted to honor the ancient architecture, artwork, and jewelry while providing a modern twist to each dish,” Frank said in a release.
The dinner is $45 per person. A Nubian Spritz (1220 Spirits Flora aperitif, date simple syrup, Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic, lavender bitters, and lime) is available for an additional $10. (SLAM members receive a 10 percent discount on their final bill.) Reservations can be secured online.
