Layout: This Craftsman-style house dates back to 1915, when developer William Bopp built it for his family. At 5,043 square feet, it features two fireplaces, three upper-level bedrooms, and one on the lower level. The basement, which now boasts a large recreation room, is said to have operated as a speakeasy during the era of Prohibition. In 1938, the Toothman family purchased the property and opened The Green Parrot Inn until the building was transformed into a single-family residence in 2004 with updated electric, HVAC systems, and gas lines. Much of the original millwork and wainscoting was also restored at that time, including the main staircase off of the foyer. The home features vaulted ceilings, original white oak floors, and large windows with views of the Meramec Valley.

Amenities: A HOA manages yard maintenance and snow removal for the gated community’s 21 homes.

Address: 12120 Old Big Bend Road

Price: $875,000
