Come for the bowling. Stay for the pizza cake.
That might as well be the motto of Bowlero St. Peters, the first location of the national bowling alley chain to open in Missouri. The 50,000-square-foot space offers 38 bowling lanes, blacklight bowling, TV screens at the end of each lane for viewing sports and music videos, 70 arcade games, a two-story laser tag course, and a bar area with dart boards and pool tables.

Its biggest draw, though, might be the over-the-top food that Bowlero’s regional sales and marketing manager Julia Skobeleva says “you have to see to believe.” Its best-selling—and arguably craziest—menu item is the Behemoth Burger, a 5-pound beef burger (pictured above) that actually clocks in at 10 pounds with all the toppings. It’s meant to share for at least 10 people.
There’s also a pizza cake made with five pizzas stacked on top of each other that’s formed and cut like a cake. Inside are meatballs, sausage, pepperoni, cheese, and marinara sauce. “It’s a showstopper for sure,” Skobeleva says.
Bowlero St. Peters also offers a 2-foot hot dog with all the Chicago toppings, an “extra-extra-large” pretzel with mustard and cheese dips, and pizza cupcakes (mini pizzas formed to look like cupcakes).
On the beverage side, expect a full bar and such signature drinks as the Dunk Tank and Mega Mule. Both are meant to share, with the former being a fishbowl cocktail and the latter a “huge” Moscow Mule.
Bowlero officially opens this Saturday, October 28, at 11 a.m. It’s located inside the former home of Brunswick Zone XL, at 8070 Veterans Memorial. It’s the 40th Bowlero location overall. The chain has completely revamped the space to look “retro-modern.” Skobeleva says St. Peters was a fitting location, because of the abundance of families in the area.
The bowling alley will host its grand opening celebration on Saturday. Bowling and laser tag will both be free, but those interested must RSVP online. Halloween costumes are encouraged.
Fredbird and the River City Rascals mascot will also be part of the celebration.
