Miller’s Crossing Closes in Chesterfield

The Hog Hollow hangout shutters after an 11-year run.

Miller’s Crossing Pub & Grill, a fixture in Hog Hollow in Chesterfield since 2004, has closed. The restaurant has been dark since early January, with patrons asking about status without response on its Facebook page.

A handwritten sign indicating the closure is now posted in a front window.

Mike Miller, then-owner of Rody McCool’s in Fenton, opened Miller’s Crossing as a basic American- and bar-food restaurant after taking over the space that was built out by R.L. Steamers’ ill-fated move from Dogtown. In addition to a notable increase in prices, Steamers also ran a retail fresh fish market.

Long-time worker Audi Williams, along with partner Vic Hoff, took over management of Miller’s Crossing in the middle of 2014. A large smoker adjacent to the restaurant pumped out signature ribs and pork steaks and the place was also well-known for its twice-weekly fried chicken special.
