Olive + Oak
Former Annie Gunn’s general manager Mark Hinkle takes a slightly different tack in his inaugural restaurant. Customers can spend a lot but probably won’t. Offerings include pot pie, prime rib, and an attractively priced 200-bottle wine list. oliveandoakstl.com.

The pre-opening spotlight couldn’t have shined brighter on Gerard Craft, St. Louis’ first James Beard Award winner, and his latest venture has lived up to the high expectations. Think Pastaria-quality fare, produced in minutes and for less than $10. poranopasta.com.
