Clayton Restaurant Week
The wildly popular Clayton Restaurant Week is right around the corner (July 10–16), with 16 restaurants featuring $25 or $35 menus. Diners can also add a $5 “Extra Helping” to benefit Operation Food Search. The participating restaurants include 801 Fish, Avenue, BARcelona, C.J. Muggs, Café Napoli, Cantina Laredo, Crushed Red, Dominic’s Trattoria, Herbie’s, The Libertine, Louie’s Wine Dive, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Oceano Bistro, Remy’s Kitchen & Wine Bar, and Ruth's Chris Steak House. Menus are available (as well as the ability to reserve online at almost all of them) on Clayton Restaurant Week's website.
A Very Potter Party
We salute clever establishments that are finding ways to make their events stand out. Case in point: A Very Potter Party, being held in Budweiser Brew House's Crown Room from 8 p.m.–2 a.m. Saturday, July 22. All Harry Potter fans who are now old enough to drink can finally taste Butterbeer, along with other cocktails created just for the occasion, such as Felix Felicis and Unicorn Blood. Admission is free.
Beer & Junk Food Pairing
Other local beer bars and breweries will be trying to stand out from the crowd during Craft Beer Week, July 28–August 5. International Tap House (better known as iTap), for instance, will host its Beer & Junk Food Pairing on August 2 from 6 p.m.–1 a.m. at its Chesterfield outpost. The event promises to deliver “an exquisite pairing of fine food from the convenience store and beers to complement.”
