The U.S. men’s national soccer team advanced to the next round of the World Cup in a victory against Iran last Tuesday. So where will you cheer on the team when they face the Netherlands this Saturday?

The organizers behind Open Concept have renovated the entire space and back patio to introduce Believe Bar @ Open Concept (4130 Manchester), a new soccer and Ted Lasso–themed pop-up bar in The Grove.

“We wanted to do a pop-up that would continue after the holidays,” says owner Michael Butler, who was featured in this SLM Q&A. “I’m a big fan of the show Ted Lasso, and we’ve been excited about MLS soccer coming to St. Louis. We thought, We may as well get things going now during the World Cup.”
The redesigned space includes a Ted Lasso-inspired locker room and bar for up to 300 guests, six large HD TV screens, and a 3,000-square-foot patio transformed into a soccer stadium with a 100-inch projector screen for the matches.

Believe Bar will also carry forward Open Concept’s singular vision: one cover charge that provides customers with unlimited drinks during visits. When purchased in advance, the cover charge is $29; when purchased at the door, it’s $40. Drink offerings include draft beer, wine, and signature cocktails.
New additions to the Open Concept food menu include a Believe Burger, Fish & Chips, and Loaded Nachos (all pictured below). Other likely favorites are Chips (fries that come regular, with cheese, or loaded) and Biscuits with the Boss (another nod to Lasso’s convivial relationship with AFC Richmond team owner Rebecca Welton). Other menu items include Wankers (wings) in seven varieties (mild, hot, honey barbecue, honey sriracha, lemon pepper, Nashville Hot, and Jamaican Jerk), loaded nachos, and pizza (cheese, veggie, hamburger, and pepperoni).
Butler says that Believe Bar is in it for the long haul or however long soccer fans embrace it: “We’re going to do the World Cup, then Premier League, then gear up for the MLS soccer season.”
Believe Bar is open from 5 p.m.–1 a.m. Thursday through Sunday and for select Word Cup game times. Customers can visit the Believe Bar website to check out the menu and book a visit.
