Barrister’s in Clayton closes unexpectedly

The soccer-friendly bar and grill operated for 13 years in Clayton

A fixture on the Clayton restaurant scene for over a decade, Barrister’s announced this morning that the restaurant is closed. Owners Kristie and Sam Boctor, who purchased Barrister’s from Jason Tilford two years ago, made the announcement via Facebook. The last day of service was November 9.

It’s unusual for a restaurant to close just as the lucrative holiday season kicks in to gear, but the Boctors cite personal reasons behind their decision. “More recently we have had a few unforeseen personal circumstances develop that will require our full and undivided attention,” they write. “We appreciate your support as we move forward into the next chapter of our lives.”
