Dave Bailey’s Cajun-themed restaurant looks very Crescent City in its two-room brick space. The Chocolate Bar has moved upstairs.

Louie

Niche expat and restaurant superstar Matt McGuire has opened the Italian-leaning Louie on DeMun, in the old Jimmy’s on the Park space, as a nod to his beloved former restaurant, King Louie’s. 706 DeMun.

Westport Social

Westport Plaza’s overhaul includes this $5.5 million restaurant and play land, complete with a hybrid soccer/billiards Snookball court. The summer camp–themed Camp Site is dropping into the former Dierdorf & Hart’s space. 910 Westport Plaza, 314-548-2876.

The Capital Grille

One of the country’s best upscale chains gutted and expanded the former J. Buck’s in Clayton. With Capital Grille opening in September, the ZIP code is home to four high-end steakhouses. 101 S. Hanley, 314-725-0930.

Shake Shack

Neither Danny Meyer nor Shake Shack needs introduction: St. Louis’ first (and, we hope, not only) outpost is slated to open in the CWE before year’s end. 32 N. Euclid.

Grace Meat + Three
