Pawlentine’s Day Party | February 8
OK, it isn’t a Galentine’s event, strictly speaking. But canine friendship is worth celebrating, too! At Zoomie’s Pet Café + Boutique, the Must Love Dogs Pawlentine’s Day Party includes Valentine’s lattes, professional pet photos for a $20 donation to the APA, “Stupid Little Guys” caricatures for $20, and on-sale treats. We’re in love. 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Zoomie’s Pet Café + Boutique, 5838 Macklind.
Meowlentine’s Day Party Fundraiser | February 8
No way do dogs get to have all the fun. Tenth Life Cat Rescue’s event raises funds for its cat-saving mission. Hang out with cats, sip mocktails, snack on (human) treats, and hear about Cocoa, the formerly stray cat who arrived at Tenth Life with a severe eye injury. (She’s doing great now.) While it’s a kid-friendly event, each kid needs to be with an adult, with no more than two kids per grownup. $30. 1–3 p.m. Tenth Life Cat Rescue, 3202 Cherokee.
Galentine’s Day with Maria Bartolotta: A Show For The Girlies | February 13
This Galentine’s Day event featuring Maria Bartolotta is full of music and laughs. And Bartolotta notes that the term “girly” is a state of mind, not a gender. 7:30 p.m. $15–$20. Blue Strawberry, 364 N. Boyle.
