The annual festival brings food, music, and community together for a daylong party that raises funds for improving Francis Park and the surrounding neighborhood. 2–10:30 p.m. Francis Park.
Unsinkable Women: Stories and Songs from the Titanic | August 14 & 15
Diary entries, letters, and interviews illuminate the lives of nine women who survived the sinking of the Titanic. A Hum Beneath the Surface | August 14–November 8
This new exhibition features the work of St. Louis artist Lillian Stephen, including chine-collé prints and larger, new works that make use of geometry, patterns, and symbols that invite interpretation. Gateway Dragon Boat Festival | August 15
The speedy needles are back! The Gateway Dragon Boat Festival features dragon boat racing, cultural activities, food trucks, and performances. 8:30 a.m.–2 p.m. Creve Coeur Lake.
Forest Park 5K and Kids Dash | August 15
Trot through the city’s crown jewel while raising money for its upkeep. The Forest Park 5K’s beautiful setting is beyond compare. 7:30 a.m. with a kids dash at 8:45 a.m. Langenberg Field, Forest Park.
Known & Grown Farm Tour | August 15
Hang out with goats, build a fairy house, and seed some basil or sunflowers during the summer’s fourth farm tour at Willowick Farm, a permaculture-based family farm in North County. Adult tickets $5, kids’ tickets $15. 10 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Willowick Farm.
Guns N’ Roses World Tour | August 16
Legends alert: the one and only Guns N’ Roses are coming through town with support from Public Enemy. It should be one for the record books. Tickets start at $38. 6:25 p.m. Busch Stadium.
