Flags of Valor | September 10 & 11

More than 7,500 American flags fill Art Hill to honor lives lost on September 11, 2001, and service members who have died in the ongoing conflict since. Events marking the anniversary include an appearance by a bald eagle from the World Bird Sanctuary on September 10 and a candlelight ceremony, STAGES performance, and reading of names on September 11. Coyote Time | September 10–December 12

Perhaps the biggest St. Louis arts event of 2026 kicks off this week as Counterpublic, the triennial contemporary art exhibition that takes place across several neighborhoods and venues, launches its third iteration, Coyote Time. Work by more than 50 artists will be spread across the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, the Saint Louis Art Museum, the National Building Arts Center, The Ville, Tower Grove, the Mississippi riverfront, and more. The citywide celebration kicks off today with a grand opening celebration at Powell Hall, followed by performances, activations, and other events across the weekend. See website for details.

St. Louis Cardinals v. Chicago White Sox | September 11–13

It’s a big weekend at Busch Stadium, with more than 30 former Cards scheduled to attend events celebrating the 20th anniversary of the team’s 2006 World Series win on Friday. Then, on Saturday, see Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina inducted into the Cardinals Hall of Fame, with a host of Hall of Famers on hand for the pre-game ceremony.

Zootoberfest | September 11–13 and 19 & 20

Enjoy German-inspired food, live music, craft brews for adults, and root beer and activities for kids. The celebration kicks off with an extended-hours night on Friday. Saint Louis Zoo.

Jack’s Lighted Trail | September 11–October 30
