Fox Theatre announces its 2022-2023 U.S. Bank Broadway Series lineup

The 2022-2023 season is chock-full of current Broadway hits, including “Six” and “Hadestown.”

The season may still be months away, but the Fox Theatre is already getting ready for its spectacular 40th anniversary, announcing this morning that the 2022-2023 U.S. Bank Broadway series will bring seven exciting musicals (and one exceptional play) to the historic stage, including family-friendly favorite Frozen and eight-time Tony Award winner Hadestown. 

In addition to the U.S. Bank Broadway Series, The Fox will also host productions of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Les Misérables, and several holiday hits. Seven- and eight-show season ticket packages go on sale June 6 at 10 a.m., and sale dates for individual shows will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, here’s a quick rundown of the season’s shows:

AIN’T TOO PROUD – The Life and Times of The Temptations | September 20 – October 2, 2022

Disney’s FROZEN | November 2-13, 2022

This stage adaptation of the Disney hit Frozen is fun for the whole family. The same magical story from the silver screen comes to life with an expanded score, so little Annas and Elsas will have even more songs to sing on the car ride home. 

SIX | January 24 – February 5, 2023

Remember the old rhyme from history class? “Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived?” Well, there’s a little more to the stories of Henry VIII’s many queens, and they’ll be here with style and sass to set the story straight in this musical comedy.

Harper Lee’s TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD | February 28 – March 12, 2023

Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s classic novel has been called “the most successful American play in Broadway history.” Don’t miss your chance to see this prized piece of American literature come to life on the stage. 

TOOTSIE | March 21 – April 2, 2023

Another Hollywood hit gets the Broadway treatment in Tootsie, a hilarious love letter to the theater that gives struggling actor Michael Dorsey a brand new role to play: Leading lady.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR | May 9-21, 2023

In the midst of The Fox’s 40th birthday, celebrate another milestone with the 50th anniversary of Jesus Christ Superstar, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s rock ‘n’ roll retelling of the final weeks of Christ’s life through the eyes of Judas.

WICKED | April 12 – May 7

Return to Oz before the days of Dorothy with Wicked, the beloved story of friendship, love, and a fight over footwear. There’s a reason it’s so “Popular.”
