Circus Flora gets permanent home in Grand Center Arts District

The circus is coming to town—and staying.

A circus is coming to town—and staying. Circus Flora announced today they have a new partnership with the Kranzberg Arts Foundation to develop a permanent home in the Grand Center Arts District. The development of their own dedicated greenspace will allow Circus Flora’s programs and performances to continue to evolve in the coming years.

“Circus Flora is positioned for a new and vibrant future due to our continuing artistic innovation and engagement of the St. Louis community,” Larry Mabrey, Circus Flora’s Executive Director, says.

The new development is part of the Kranzberg Arts Foundation’s continued mission to invest in institutions to support local artists and community arts organizations.

Circus Flora is a St. Louis based nonprofit and has a 30-year history of performing for the community. They remain committed to being animal-friendly and only partner with domesticated animals like dogs and horses. Their displays connect the audience with performers, heighten the drama and beauty with live original music, and tell unique stories with circus arts as the centerpiece.

“While a few fellow circuses have packed away their big tops this past year, it does not mean that the circus itself will go away—only that it must view itself with fresh eyes,” Jack Marsh, Artistic Director of Circus Flora says.

Time Flies, Circus Flora’s new production, will run in Grand Center June 1-25. Tickets go on sale March 2.
