This past weekend, music fans flocked to Grand Center for the third annual Music at the Intersection event, produced by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation. Known for large, genre-spanning lineups and a block party atmosphere, the two-day fest drew around 12,000 people. Groundbreaking artists such as Herbie Hancock, Grandmaster Flash, and Thundercat took to the stages alongside local stars like Smino and The Mighty Pines, and many of the weekend’s stars were seen wandering the festival footprint, mingling and taking in other artists.
“St. Louis giants were well represented, playing next to living legends and the best of A-List contemporary artists across a variety of genres,” said KAF executive director Chris Hansen following the fest, “[It was] a real celebration of community—and not a bad note played all weekend.”
