Jeans: Diesel jeans run on the pricey side, but they’re worth the investment. I own three pairs, and they’ve stayed in great shape over the years. Handbag: A black leather Kenneth Cole purse purchased two years ago in Las Vegas. It’s large and sturdy enough to hold all of my work goodies: pens, reporter notebook, makeup bag, cellphone, water bottle, mints, gloves, hat. Sneakers: New Balance. Designer: I don’t seek out a particular designer, but my favorite labels are United Colors of Benetton and Banana Republic. Boutique: If I’m looking for the occasional fun piece, I’ll stop by Ziezo in the Loop. Hairstylist: David Hoffmann of David’s in Clayton. Fragrance: Creed Millésime Impérial. Moisturizer: Burt’s Bees Radiance Body Lotion. Mascara: Lancome Définicils. Nail Polish Color: OPI Get Me to the Taj on Time or Chick Flick Cherry, depending on my mood. Addiction: The KSDK morning crew knows all too well of my penchant for overpriced coffee. I can barely survive the day without making a run for a latte. I’m trying to cut back. Website: washingtonpost.com for national news and stlouis.missouri.org to pay all my downtown parking tickets online. Home Accessory: I would never make it to KSDK on time if it weren’t for the cheap alarm clock on my nightstand. Restaurant: LoRusso’s Cucina. Deli: Protzel’s. I l-o-v-e their corned beef. At-Home Meal: Kichiri. A simple Indian dish made of lentils, eggs, and rice. So easy to cook that even I can do it. But of course, my mother does it best. Dessert: Cococcino at Bissinger’s. Then it’s off to the gym. City in the World: Istanbul, Turkey. Discovery: The world does not end at the St. Louis County line, contrary to my belief that it did when I was younger. Vacation Spot: Cancún, Mexico. Inspiration: It was public radio, not television, that originally drew me to journalism. I used to work for NPR, and I still listen to it regularly.
