This winter, The Delmar Loop feels a little bit like stepping into a storybook street, with twinkling lights, glowing shop windows, and cheerful families. It’s an easy spot to gather your favorite people and just be together for a while.
All season long, the Loop is full of little moments that add up to big memories: holiday cookies, joyful carols, a sparkling tree lighting, icy art lining the sidewalks, and a glowing drone show.
Whether it’s a quick visit or a full day out, the Loop is ready to make your holidays brighter—and your winter family memories even warmer.

Holiday happenings on December 6
December at the Loop brings holiday cheer to the block. Families can enjoy a full day of fun on December 6, with caroling at the Chuck Berry statue in the morning, the Holiday Cookie Crawl in the afternoon, and the Fitz’s Tree Lighting Ceremony at night.
The sweetest stroll of the season: Experience the sweetness of the holiday season at the Loop’s Holiday Cookie Crawl from noon–5 p.m. on December 6. Stroll the Loop, and pop into participating shops to pick up a free holiday cookie. (One per person, while supplies last.) Discover new favorites, meet the owners, and soak up the festive vibes. (Tip: Arrive early for the best selection.)
Toasting to tinsel and tradition: After you’ve crawled for cookies, head to Fitz’s at 5 p.m. for the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Dancers from Tammy’s Tumbling & Dance Center lift holiday spirits until the twinkling tree lighting later that night.

The Loop’s winter wonderland on January 24
The Ice Carnival returns for its 19th year on January 24, 2026. From 11 a.m.–7:30 p.m. on January 24, experience the icy winter wonders of the Loop, featuring ice sculptors from Full Spectrum Ice and special visits from Louie of the St. Louis Blues. The festival fun continues with a Temporary Tattoo Scavenger Hunt and a drone show to light up the night sky.
Unlock the Loop one tattoo at a time. Kids and kids at heart can turn the Ice Carnival into their own winter quest with the Temporary Tattoo Scavenger Hunt. Start by checking out the map online. Then bundle up and glide from shop to shop, collecting a new icy tattoo at each stop. When you’ve hit every frosty checkpoint, head to the final location to score a prize that’s as cool as the carnival itself.
Take in the glow of the drone show. As night falls at the Ice Carnival, the sky lights up with a sparkling drone show. Snowflake shapes and other dancing designs set the sky’s stage, ending with a finale that will leave you and your family in awe. Bundle up with some hot cocoa for a memorable end to the Loop Ice Carnival.
