For more than 30 years, Jacque Phillips has been the driving force behind AccuCare Home Health Care of St. Louis, a family-owned business rooted in compassion and a deep commitment to helping others.
Now, as Jacque steps back, her daughter Dana Moulton is taking the reins, determined to preserve her mother’s legacy while charting a path for the future.

Leading with heart
Jacque’s journey began with a simple yet powerful motivation: to make a difference. A single mother of three and a registered nurse, Jacque was inspired by her experience caring for her own parents as they passed away at home.
“I saw how peaceful it was for them, and I wanted to create something that could provide that same peace and dignity for others,” she explains.
Initially operating out of her home, Jacque grew AccuCare into a trusted provider of private-pay services, offering specialized care that goes beyond what Medicare covers. Over the years, the company has expanded its offerings, including managing event medical services at major St. Louis venues such as Busch Stadium.
Despite its growth, Jacque has always kept the company’s heart at its core—helping others, building relationships, and ensuring that the focus remains on making a meaningful impact rather than chasing profits.
Continuing a legacy

Now, Dana is stepping into her mother’s shoes, bringing her own passion and expertise to the role. A third-generation nurse, Dana began her career in Chicago as an ICU nurse before returning to St. Louis to join AccuCare full-time.
Over the past four years, she has immersed herself in every aspect of the business, from scheduling and accounting to operations and case management.
“Watching my mom grow this business and seeing the respect the community has for her, it’s been inspiring,” Dana says. “I’ve always loved being a nurse, and now I get to carry on what she started while bringing my own vision to the table.”
For Dana, that vision includes expanding AccuCare’s skilled clinical services, emphasizing the importance of having nurses on staff to provide holistic, clinical perspectives.
“There’s a real need for nurses to oversee care in the home, especially as families are often spread out across the country,” Dana explains. “We want to ensure that our clients are safe and cared for, while also maintaining their dignity and independence.”
Dana also plans to grow the company’s event medical services, which have long been a cornerstone of AccuCare’s operations. Whether at a Cardinals game or a concert, AccuCare’s nurses, paramedics, and EMTs are a reassuring presence, ready to handle any medical emergency.

Forging into the future
As Dana shapes AccuCare’s future, Jacque has made a conscious effort to step back and let her daughter take the lead.
“I’ve moved my office to another part of the building and given Dana the freedom to make her own decisions,” Jacque says. “She’s bringing fresh ideas and her own personality to the business, and I couldn’t be prouder.”
Dana is clear about her priorities: continuing to uphold the heart of AccuCare while leveraging her nursing background to enhance its services.
“This isn’t just a business; it’s about helping people and making a real difference in their lives,” she says. “That’s something my mom instilled in me, and it’s something I’ll carry forward.”
As AccuCare transitions into its next chapter, the bond between mother and daughter serves as a powerful foundation. With Jacque’s legacy as her guide and her own vision for the future, Dana is ready to lead AccuCare with the same compassion and dedication that has defined it for three decades.
Together, they’re proving that the heart of the business is its most enduring asset.
