Pat Eby came to writing fifteen years ago after a checkered career. She moved to St. Louis in 1971 to take a job as a fashion designer. She started her own company in the late ‘70s making ends meet as a freelance designer, costume and set designer, fashion design instructor, and as a designer and fabricator of large-scale textiles and signage for amusement parks and public spaces. Her writing today covers food, fashion, art, home design, and travel. She lives in south St. Louis with her husband Bill and a contrarian cat named Spot and loves hearing the stories people so graciously share with her.
