GIVING ANIMALS THE SECOND CHANCE THEY DESERVE SINCE 1870
Since 1870, the Humane Society of Missouri has provided a safe haven for animals that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. The mission includes ending the cycle of abuse and pet overpopulation through the Animal Cruelty Task Force’s rescue and investigation efforts and low-cost spay/neuter programs.
HSMO is committed to creating lasting relationships between people and animals through adoption, and supports that bond by offering world-class veterinary care to pets—whether or not they were adopted from their shelters. It is also home to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch, which provides a safe haven and second chance for horses and other farm animals in need. Each year, thousands of students from throughout the St. Louis region are hosted for camps and educational programs that promote practicing empathy for all living creatures.
The Humane Society of Missouri is supported solely through private donations and receives no outside organizational funding or local, state, or federal tax dollars. Please join the mission by supporting the Humane Society of Missouri this year and help give animals in need the second chance they deserve.
