Duchesne High School is a Catholic college-preparatory school that provides each student unique opportunities to develop their God-given talents—shaping them into leaders in mind, body, and spirit. The school offers a faith-based education with academic excellence second to none in a coed, real-life setting. Duchesne’s Catholic identity, unique size, and family-like environment is at the heart of what makes it special. The school is affiliated with the Archdiocese of St. Louis, and students come from parishes and schools throughout St. Charles and St. Louis counties.
This fall, Duchesne will welcome its 100th class. Duchesne’s Catholic heritage be ganas St. Peter High School in 1924. In 1956, the Archdiocese established Duchesne High School in its stead as a regional high school with a mission to make Catholic secondary education available to as many families who may desire that for their children.
Duchesne implements a rigorous, student-centered curriculum. Advanced college credit and honors courses are designed to challenge students and strengthen the fundamental skills required to succeed, wherever they decide to continue their education. Duchesne develops students’ respect for the human body by instilling a positive approach to a healthy lifestyle, and continues the mission of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne: to nurture love of God and His Church, to serve others, and to inspire moral excellence.
