Filmmaker Agnès Varda and street artist JR created this 2017 documentary that follows their meandering journey through rural France. The filmmakers photograph the people they meet along the way, and they transform those portraits into enormous murals. Faces Places has received widespread critical acclaim, including 23rd place on Rolling Stone‘s list of “The 100 Best Movies of the 21st Century.” The film is in French with English subtitles. Rated PG, 1 hours, 34 minutes.
