Robot Renaissance Exhibit

Robots are experiencing a Renaissance! They’re approaching autonomy by reading up on existentialism and pondering the cosmos over a cocktail in Beatnik Bobs. These particular, peculiar robots are built with everyday objects by St. Louis artists Bill Christman and Dave Rudis. Guests can visit the Robot Renaissance exhibit at Beatnik Bob’s now through May 31.

Dave Rudis discusses his process for creating the sculptures you will see: “My body of work takes found everyday discarded materials and transforms them into artistic compositions. The majority of materials used were destined for landfills; items are found in dumpsters, alleys, roadside finds or provided by people in the community. Creations are either assembled with mechanical fasteners or welded. The materials used can vary from kitchen drawer handles, old lamps, miscellaneous scrap metal or whatever I can find.”

Come be a part of the Robot Renaissance and find enlightenment! This exhibit is included with museum admission or a Member Pass.
