Henry Horenstein has taught photography at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) for the last four decades. His book Black & White Photography: A Basic Manual has been a widely used introductory photography textbook since its publication in 1974. Over the course of his career, Henry has used his camera to chronicle a wide range of American subcultures and everyday life.
