“Vicia, a new restaurant on the St. Louis dining scene, celebrates vegetables as the star of the menu, whether served as a small plate (petite radishes with whipped ricotta and radish top pesto), a sharable main dish (roasted cauliflower with pancetta, grilled apples and cheese) or even a dessert (pumpkin seed financier),” USA Today writes.

The newspaper asked a panel of food and travel experts to nominate their 20 favorite new restaurants to open in the past 18 months. And over the past four weeks, readers have been voting for their favorites.

“We are amazed at how the St. Louis community has supported us and couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who voted,” Tara said in a statement.

This isn’t the first time Vicia has earned recognition for its ingenuity since debuting in March of last year. The restaurant was also named as a best new restaurant by national magazines Bon Appétit (top 50) and Esquire (top 18) and national food website Eater (top 12).

Eater also dubbed Vicia, designed by the Gallinas and Sasha Aleksandr Malinich, as one of the 15 most beautiful restaurants of 2017. “An actually modern ‘modern farmhouse’ at one of the year’s best new restaurants,” writes the website.
