I do find it curious how rumors get started.
A few weeks ago, Monarch restaurant announced that it was closing (we said so here) and amost instantly came the queries and calls and “is it true’s?” about the demise of Mosaic and Modesto. No. it’s Monarch that will be closing on March 11. By all means make a reservation and enjoy one last meal there.

The restaurant business is hard enough, folks. Don’t start sounding death knells prematurely. Mosaic (all three of them) and Modesto—as well as Mango, Miso, Momo’s, Monsoon, Monty’s, and all the other places that sound remotely like Monarch—are all locally owned restaurants that would love your business, now or after March 11.
