SLM’s concert photographer spent the day with the Lo-Fi Cherokee crew on April 6 to capture the event’s final iteration. Nearly every year since 2012, founder Bill Streeter and a rotating roster of skilled videographers, lighting and sound techs, and photographers have combined their efforts on one day to create one-song, one-take professional-grade music videos for more than 120 highly talented local bands and musicians along St. Louis’ eclectic Cherokee Street.
This year, 12 mini pop-up concerts happened at 12 businesses along Cherokee Street on a cool, crisp, sunny day. Hundreds of people showed up throughout the day for a chance to see some free concerts, celebrate the wealth of talent in our local music scene, and get their chance to be captured as an extra in a few of the videos.
