St. Louis Premium Outlets officially opened this morning with lines out the door at many of the mall’s high-end retail stores.

The second of two outlet malls in Chesterfield, St. Louis Premium Outlets boasts several outlet stores unique to the area, including Saks Off 5th, DKNY, Armani, and Kate Spade New York.

In the competition between St. Louis Premium Outlets and Taubman Prestige Outlets, which opened earlier this month, St. Louis Premium Outlets opened with a full food court (the one at Taubman is set to open in the fall), all storefronts filled, a similar open-air layout, and a few of the same outlet stores as Taubman, including Gap, Brooks Brothers, and J. Crew.

All of the outlet stores opened today with the exception of Gap, Hollister, Lane Bryan, Maidenform, and St. John’s, which will open between September and October.

This weekend, St. Louis Premium Outlets is hosting a bevy of activities during its Grand Opening Celebration, including live music, Cardinals autograph sessions, a fireworks display Saturday night, and in-store promotions, which include 50 percent off all apparel at BCBG Max Azria, 50 percent off the entire store at Vera Bradley, 40 percent off store-wide at Cole Haan, and more.
