Tricia Despres grew up tapping away on a manual typewriter, dreaming of a future as a writer. That dream became reality over 30 years ago when she left a career in advertising to pursue storytelling full-time. Since then, her work has appeared in People, the Chicago Sun-Times, and numerous regional magazines including Indianapolis Monthly, Connecticut Magazine, and St. Louis Magazine, where she currently channels her deep love of music. Through SLM, she’s had the privilege of interviewing artists like Dierks Bentley, Lauren Daigle, and Straight No Chaser. Tricia lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband, Paul, and daughters, Taylor and Amanda.
